'Shoot The 'O' Challenge'

Over the last five weeks we have been working with Marathonbet, producing 5 weekly episodes of 'Shoot The 'O' Challenge'. Each video featuring a football team from up and down the country. West Ham, Hibernian, Fulham, Derby County and Tottenham Hotspurs.

All the clubs have given us positive feedback on the videos, with being more than happy with them. A few clubs have requested to play the videos out on big screens in their stadiums on match days.

Youth Club 'People'

Our latest music video is with the new fresh indie 6 piece, Youth Club. We filmed this video all in one day in the band's hometown of Southend-on-Sea, Our aim of the video was fairly simple as we captured a sort of day in the life/feel good video surrounded by the Seaside, Vintage Cars, Skateboards, friends, family and even their own pets!

We certainly got lucky with autumn crisp sunshine when filming along the seafront in front of the palm trees, giving us a Miami vibe to the video... Maybe we can film there next!?

So far the video has premiered on VEVO and features on Video Static and Promo News.

Beasts 'Annie' Kerrang Premiere

After a successful festival debut for Beasts where we filmed them along the way at; Isle Of Wight and Reading & Leeds, to name a few. We have created their music video for the debut single 'Annie' which been given an exclusive premiere on Kerrang, featured on Promo News and London Live.

Marathonbet Cup Post-Match Reaction

Over the past weekend we teamed up again with Marathonbet to film a fresh addition to the growing Marathonbet Family, West Ham United.

West Ham defeated Sampdoria 3-2 with a dramatic last minute winner to claim the very first Marathonbet Cup.

Our guests for the post-match review were Stewart Downing, Cartlon Cole and Mark Noble who also shared their thoughts on the season ahead and their Premiere League 2014/15 opener with Tottenham Hotspurs.

Exclusive Marathonbet Interview With Ross McCormack

With a new footballing season upon us, we have returned to Fulham FC's Craven Cottage with Marathonbet to film a batch of interviews with a number of their new signings to chat about their targets and ambitions for Fulham's season in the Championship.

The first video was released yesterday, an exclusive interview with the £11million man Ross McCormack. Watch below this latest video where Ross shares his thoughts on the season ahead, Life after Leeds and Premiere League ambitions. Within the video there is a nice little insight behind their training sessions at the Cottage. The video has been transcribed and posted onto the Daily Mail.

BEASTS - Isle of Wight Festival (2014)

Here is the latest instalment of our Summer Series of festival videos with Beasts. This time we spent the whole weekend with them over at the Isle of Wight Festival which was headlined by Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Kings Of Leon.

Beasts found themselves being the penultimate band on the Hard Rock Rising stage on Saturday evening only to be followed on stage by our video buddies Bleech! In this episode we see how the band utilise their down time traveling down on Friday meant we could make the most of the weekend, and certainly made it a more relaxing affair for the Band, Crew, and Friends.

With plenty of sun tan lotion, fairground rides and a lot of Rock and Roll to enjoy, Please enjoy our latest video below!

Rock For Children (Rock FC) - Football United The World

It's been so busy at Fenixx HQ lately that we've only found the time to update our Blog with a few recent projects we've been working on!

As we all know we are midway through the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and it is always a custom to have a few football songs floating around this time. While many are just for purely for fun and all in the spirit of getting involved, there are some videos that come with a really powerful cause behind it.

Introducing "Football United The World" the brain child of LostAlone's Steve Battlle and Dan Weller who we had the pleasure of filming with Beasts towards the end of last year. A powerful rock anthem of a football song were every penny made goes towards helping children in Brazil through Street Child World Cup in association with Save The Children.

We couldn't resist helping out editing this video together as it featured a great number of some of our favourite bands! Enter Shikari, Kids in Glass Houses, Skindred, Marmozets, Baby Godzilla, Blitz Kids, Itch, Verses, Natives, The First, Fearless Vampire Killers, Beasts, Rob Lynch, Only Rivals and A Loss For Words all taking part in this fun record which was mostly recorded at the Slam Dunk Festival earlier this Summer.

King Lizard - Behind The Scenes at Sofar Sounds, London

Recently we teamed up again with King Lizard for the first time since December 2013 where we filmed them on tour in Tel Aviv, Israel.

This time we were back in London to film a very exclusive behind the scenes video of them performing as the first hard rock band booked to do Sofar Sounds. (sofarsounds.com)

For those who are unaware what Sofar Sounds are about, they travel all over the globe visiting a wide range of cities providing secret intimate unplugged gigs in peoples living rooms, with only subscribed members given a tip off to where these secret locations are.

It was an extremely unusual but musically surreal experience as we were graced with some incredibly talented artists, unplugged and raw for a wonderfully focused audience.

Felix Magath World Cup Interviews

A few months ago we started a project with Marathon Bet where we were invited to Fulham's training ground for sit down with Felix Magath (43 caps, West Germany) to film an interview with him about his past experiences as a player in World Cup tournaments ('82, '86) and his predictions for this years FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Of course due to the content these videos they were rightfully held off from release till World Cup fever kicked in. Check out the playlist below from Marathon Bet's YouYube to see the new videos being uploaded daily.

Overall there are 9 videos focused on a variety of hopeful World Cup Finalists, a few to mention are England, Portugal, Brazil, Germany. In particular, the Germany video which is a nice watch, as you see Felix showing his love and passion for that team that he has a special personal connection with.

Beasts - Camden Rocks Festival (2014)

With the festival season now starting to kick into full force, and Beasts' upward momentum showing no sign of a decline any time soon, we filmed their latest instalment of their Mini-Docs at a recent appearance at Camden Rocks.

This episode showcases a clear transitional period that the band are going through with press starting to pick up and take notice of the progression they are taking. This appearance at Camden Rocks believe it or not, came off the back of their previous appearance at The Great Escape, with the organisers managing to catch a glimpse of them down at Brighton's famed festival and subsequently added them to the bill playing as main support to Baby Godzilla.

What is clear in this edition of the Beasts festival videos is that not everything can be smooth sailing, as you shall see midway through their set. The video is featuring on Art Rocker.

Beasts - The Great Escape Festival (2014)

During The Great Escape Festival we found ourselves multi-tasking. Not only were we filming interviews for Raw Meat, we also regrouped with Beasts at the festival to film another documentary/fly on the wall styled video similar to the recording sessions when Beasts teamed up with Dan Weller.

With the added element of touring which will be the first in a series of festival videos this summer with Beasts, we headed down to Brighton and filmed which was their first festival appearance of 2014.

The format see's us showcase very briefly at the start what Brighton is about, and we filmed through the soundcheck under the watchful eye of Daniel P Carter of Radio 1, their pre-show warm ups, the set itself and interviewed the lads about the progress the band has been making since being in the studio recording 'Annie' and 'What You Want' back in December.

Introducing, Raw Meat

On the 1st May (pinch punch), we were on location for the new music hotspot, Raw Meat and their opening night at Oslo, Hackney. Raw Meat aim is to feature new fresh n' tasty music through their features, reviews, and special video content on their website, and across social media.

Our role on the night was to piece together a teaser for Raw Meat and film interviews with a selection of DJs from the launch night. You can watch the teaser video below, and expect to find the DJ interviews later in the month.

Marathonbet: Shoot the 'O' Episode Two

Here is the second video that Fenixx has produced for Marathonbet UK. This time we were invited down to Fulham FC's open training session at Craven Cottage on a delightful spring day to capture "Shoot the O Episode Two". The theme of this shoot had a World Cup feel, the watching Fulham fans were treated to a shoot-out... England vs Rest of The World, Consisting of members of the Fulham first team squad; John Heitinga, Kieran Richardson, Lewis Holtby, Steve Sidwell, Ashkan Dejagah and David Stockdale Take a look at how things unfolded, and stay tuned to see our series of videos featuring Fulham Manager Felix Magath talk about his views on this years World Cup.

King Lizard - Just To Hear You Say It

In December 2013 we teamed up again with our rocking friends King Lizard to film a new piece of factual content in the form of a day by day tour film, and a new promo video for "This Ain't Love" during their visit to perform in guitarist, Niro Knox's home town of Tel Aviv, Israel. 

Now, for a country in the middle east you wouldn't expect anything but sunshine and scorching heat, but unfortunately we were greeted with a horror storm that stuck with us for the 5 days filming in Israel, and to make matters even worse our plans were to shoot the promo primarily in the Desert - No Chance.

With the Storms getting the better of us, we decided to work on "Just To Hear You Say it" a good old-fashioned rock ballad from their current album "A Nightmare Livin' The Dream" and had to come up with new plans regarding getting a promo shoot in the bag whilst out in Tel Aviv.

So with some quick improvisation and with a change of single choice we put our heads together on the 3rd night out there and managed to squeeze out a powerful and quick performance video in the rehearsal spaces in downtown Tel Aviv, when preparing for one of the big shows later that week.

It was certainly a mighty test but also a pleasure to cut this together, especially getting to make another promo in a foreign country. We hope you enjoy this one.

Note: The touring film should surface over the next month or so.

Sean Rowley's Guilty Pleasures at KOKO

We returned to KOKO to film for the first time, a very popular event regularly held at the Camden venue... "Guilty Pleasures".
The event run by BBC London DJ Sean Rowley showcases a love for Pop Music and a fantastic live show packed out with many extravagant talents performing a wild and packed out KOKO. It even featured The Dream Bears famously from 'Britain's Got Talent'

This shows theme was all things Circus and it was one of the liveliest shoots we have been a part of!

SLK - 'Be'

On a sunny (but cold) Saturday morning we travelled over to Barbican to shoot SLK's first music video for her debut track 'Be'. We chose Barbican for the location because we instantly fell in love with the late 1960s architecture, which looked so beautiful on film, with the buildings bringing a nice ‘pop’ of colour to the shoot.

Our approach to this video was very simple, this introduction to SLK did not need a video layered with over complex visuals, or a twisting story. We utilised the great colour range within buildings based in and around Barbican as a fitting performance space for a intimate performance by SLK. The beautifully shy onscreen chemistry from our two models, Amber and Josh (who are a genuine couple) fitted perfectly on screen with tales of new relationships pouring from within the track "Be". The video was released on Monday 14th April with an exclusive premiere on Noisey and featured on Promo News.

Bleech - I Just Want You

On Monday 10th March, Bleech released their new album, Humble Sky, and we were asked to create the music video for their first single from the album, 'I Just Want You'. 

The video was filmed in just one day, at th1ng's studio in Soho. The production process was a break from the norm, with Matthew Hoare directing by himself, as Matthew Connell was taking a well deserved holiday! 

I Just Want You is a fun, tongue in cheek video, which explores sexuality and also features an array of everyday objects arranged to suggestively resemble parts of the body. Making this video was a lot of fun, and we look forward to working with Bleech in the near future. The video received an exclusive premiere on VEVO.

We Used To Make Things - Live Promo

Another video we filmed end of 2013 was with the London group, We Used To Make Things.

This was filmed at the Union Chapel over in Highbury & Islington (a beautiful church) and Paper Dress Vintage Bar & Boutique in Shoreditch.

The concept for this video was to capture the performance of the band, and what they offer to the audience at their live shows. Giving the viewer a contrast between their serious, stripped back shows (Union Chapel footage), against their loud energetic performances (Paper Dress footage).

We hope to work with these guys, again later this year.
