Beasts - In session with Dan Weller

Back in December 2013 we first started our working-relationship with Beasts. They invited us down to Proper Records, to document their studio time with the legendary Dan Weller. They were recording two tracks, 'What You Want' and 'Annie' which we later made the audio only video for.

We spent 3 days with the lads, filming the magic throughout the recording process. We utilised this opportunity to create a more filmic piece of content. The studio location was fantastic, with wall to wall shelving of vinyls and CD's, giving us good selection of visuals to display in the documentary. We would love to hear your thoughts.

The Magic Mod with Marathonbet at Fulham Football Club

A few weeks back we were asked to do something a little different to our usual music jobs. We were asked by Fulham Football Clubs sponsors Marathonbet to film Fulham super fan, and widely respected magician The Magic Mod (@taylormod) to perform street magic on a Sunny Saturday afternoon during match day vs Southampton.

Fulham Football club, were incredibly kind and hospitable during the whole shooting experience, with them allowing us to conduct our interview with The Magic Mod inside the ground before the match, and being able to film around the tunnel area.

Up in Maronthonbet's corporate box we even had a cameo from Fulham legend Les Strong who was clearly impressed with the magic that was put on display!

After the job was done, we tucked into plenty of lovely food courtesy of Marathonbet's corporate box, and had some mighty fine seats for the match too. A very enjoyable job, and hopefully we will have more to come soon!

Enjoy the video below.

BLEECH - Humble Sky Teaser

In early 2013 we first met BLEECH during the filming of our 2nd episode of our KOKO Presents web series with Club NME, in which they were the headliners of the show for that night. Here at Fenixx we can easily say that the episode with BLEECH is certainly still one of our favourite shows that we have filmed at KOKO, and below you can see a link to that very episode where we have a nice little interview and some really cool snippets from their energetic show.

Fast forward to 2014, and coming March 10th is BLEECH's second album "Humble Sky" which is ready to be unleashed and from what we've heard so far its is certainly an album worth getting your hands on! A little while back after the KOKO show we were asked by the band if we could put together a teaser Promo using some of the rushes that would support the announcement of when "Humble Sky" is due!

Personally we are big fans of BLEECH's music so please check out below the Promo for "Humble Sky" and check out the videos of them below which we've had plenty of fun filming.

Young Romance - Pale

Back at the beginning of the year we made a new music video for the Kingston duo, Young Romance for their single 'Pale', which will be released as a limited 7" pressing in March.

As far as the styling for the video the duo went for a throwback of looks, and tried to compliment the song with an old VHS feel. We wanted to test our styles as see what we could do differently with this as a performance video. Matthew Connell gathered royalty free stock footage and edited together a sequence that was projected onto the band during the performance. Then to add to the vintage and almost glitchy look, Matthew Hoare played the finished sequence through a an old Sony Trinitron CRT Monitor from the 80's and filmed the monitors screen, to seal the look and resulting in the finished product.

Since making the music video the track has been gathering pace with premieres on sites such as The Line Of Best Fit, and even being spun on Steve Lemacq's BBC 6 Music show.

Yesterday, after a few weeks of scheduling and PR work around the duo, the video was premiered on the Beat.

KOKO/HOUSEKEEPING - The Seven Deadly Sins (Envy)

Late into 2013 KOKO opened its doors to a new series of events run by Housekeeping. Putting on high-end events inside the Camden Venue which welcomed many of London's well known celebrities to enjoy a night based on the Seven Deadly Sins, for this Premiere event the first one was ENVY.

For our good friends at KOKO we put together a promotional video to commemorate the first event, and will hopefully be able to show you plenty more for the future events throughout 2014!
